OXFORDSHIRE has this morning seemingly avoided any serious disruption due to snowfall.

There are reports of only light dustings at points around the county, with some Oxford Mail readers saying half an hour ago it was snowing in Chinnor and Headington.

It seems it has mostly turned to rain and is washing away any traces.

However, it is still advisable to drive with caution during the morning commute.

Current forecasts have the rain stopping mid-morning and it sunny for the rest of the day and the temperature in Oxford hovering around 3degC.
