Asian gold was grabbed by burglars who ransacked a home in St Swithuns Road, Kennington.
Burglars struck at 4.50pm on Friday forcing a first-floor window open and rifling through bedrooms to find the expensive jewellery.
A neighbour saw a bicycle on the front drive with front and rear flashing lights before a man appeared from the side of the house and rode off towards The Avenue. He was slim and wearing a woollen hat, dark jacket and dark trousers.
Earlier that day at about 1.30pm, a woman was seen knocking on the door of the house. She is described as 6ft tall, aged 20 to 30, of slim build and wearing dark blue jeans, denim jacket and a head scarf.
Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
