BANBURY'S Three Pigeons pub is set to reopen after a major refurbishment.
New owners Paul and Tina Laird have put in a planning application to add three bed and breakfast rooms and create a “winter garden” from the rear yard, covered with a glazed roof.
There would also be a “full internal refurbishment” of the Southam Road pub, which Enterprise Inns sold for about £275,000. It has been closed since April.
The reopening of the Three Pigeons is the latest boost for pub trade in the town.
The Buck & Bell in North Bar Street will reopen in January after it was bought by the White Horse Brewery.
And a new tenant is set to take over the Dog and Gun opposite.
