SO COSTS of running libraries will be cut by reduction of paid staff and introduction of volunteers, which is good news.
But I am surprised that none of the other methods aren’t being introduced, like shortening the number of days and hours of opening, reducing the number of papers and magazines bought and a reduction in new purchases.
This might have reduced the number of volunteers required.
