BADLY-BEHAVED drinkers in Witney are being given a timely reminder to stay on the right side of the law this Christmas.
More than 300 people who were stopped and warned by police about their drunken behaviour during the year have been sent a funny Christmas card reminding them of the consequences if they drink too much.
Police officers are hoping that the cards will be thought-provoking enough to make people change their behaviour on nights out.
Antisocial behaviour caseworker Reg Nicolson said: “We’re don’t want to ruin anyone’s fun but everyone has a right to enjoy a safe night out in West Oxfordshire so we’re asking people to act responsibly and to think of the consequences.”
