POLICE have charged a man in connection with the Soak graffiti tags daubed across Oxford last year.
Charlie Silver, 20, of Upper Fisher Row, has been charged with four counts of criminal damage relating to incidents between May 20 and September 24 last year.
The first charge relates to graffiti at the Oxford Ice Rink on August 17, where the damage was valued at £4,321.
The second charge relates to criminal damage of a shutter on the Oxford Convenience store in Cowley Road on July 19.
The third charge is for graffiti on a wall at The Parks Sports Centre in Wheatley on June 20, valued at £1,800.
The last charge relates to the 17 other criminal damage offences throughout the year of Oxford City Council property, including walls and street furniture valued at £15,000.
Silver has been bailed to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on 17 January 2012.
