Abu-tiful performance saves point for Kidlington.

Kidlington were indebted to centre back Abu Yillah as they eventually emerged from an eventful match at Court Place Farm with a point. Yillah's pace and tackling saved the visitors on several occasions as the home team frequently carved through the Kidlington midfield and defence.

Kidlington started the game with a fluid passing move involving seven of the team, only to lose possession and see the ball end up in their own net. Fortunately for them a tight offside decision saw them stay on terms.

The visitors then took command with two quick goals. Ben Stewart opened the scoring after a pass from Kyle Rawlins. Stewart then fed Callum Rolfe, who put them 2-0 up with a great hit from outside the box.

The visitors then relaxed their grip on the game as Colts came back into it, Owadh Mohammed pulling a goal back. Last ditch interventions from Yillah preserved Kidlington's lead before the Colts had the ball in the net again following a free kick. After some debate amongst the officials, the referee also chalked this one off for offside, but the home team finally broke through just before half time, Timmy Gribbell showing good pace and a cool head to slot home.

Kidlington started the second half in better shape, with Stewart restoring their advantage. Colts were not to be denied however, and Mohammed grabbed a deserved equaliser with about ten minutes left. Both teams had chances to win it, the nearest thing to a winner coming when visiting striker Thomas Anderson saw his effort rebound back off the crossbar in a late scramble in the home area. Woodwork and keepers prevailed however, and both teams took a point away from an enjoyable encounter.
