CITY councillors have granted permission for a “21st century”, five-storey block of flats to be built in Park End Street.
The plans will see the existing Cantay House, to the rear of Conference Centre Oxford, being demolished and nine two-bedroom flats built over the five floors.
However, an alternative planning application, to build 44 student study rooms on the site, will be heard at the next west area planning committee meeting, on January 11.
