Headington Secondary School swept the board in the Oxford schools’ gymnastics championships in 1963.
They won the team event for the third year running and also did well in individual events. They led the nearest of nine rival schools by 42 points to retain the Olympic Gymnasium Company Cup.
The school’s star performer was 14-year-old Paul Nash, who won the Oxford Mail and Times Cup for the best individual performance.
The championships were held at Matthew Arnold School in Cumnor.
