IF the glut of Christmas marketing is beginning to sit heavily in your stomach, a more environmentally-friendly approach might appeal.
This weekend will see the annual Green Fair at Oxford Town Hall, St Aldate’s, which will be taking place for the 31st time.
A focus on all things green, fairly traded and ethically made, the fair will host 120 stalls offering everything from renewable energy to locally grown food, with 3,000 people expected.
For the first time, it will run over two days, with the fair starting at 6pm tomorrow to coincide with Oxford’s Christmas lights switch-on.
As well as stalls, there will be entertainment throughout the fair, including performances by choirs, singers and folk bands.
Father Christmas will also make an appearance — clad in the traditional green as the figure used to appear before he started wearing red in advertisements for a well-known drinks company.
