I DON’T know much about badgers, but I feel very sad when I walk along the Thames adjacent to Cripley Meadow.
Where there was once a thriving wildlife corridor there is now land scraped bare, like a building site, and the few remaining trees cut back as far as possible in their sea of bare mud.
The fence looks like something around a prison.
I would have thought allotment managers would want to work in harmony with wildlife, not decrease habitats in this saddening and alarming way.
What was a beautiful walk is now a reminder of how destructive we human beings can be.
