OXFORD: A plant has been nominated for a key social role at an Oxford University college.
Jeremy the Plant secured a proposer and seconder for the post of Corpus Christi’s Junior Common Room president after being found in the street by current president Jack Evans.
However, his candidature is technically invalid, as the plant has not paid the required JCR fees.
