More than 1,200 homes and businesses in the west Oxfordshire area have been affected by a power cut this morning.
Properties in Woodstock, Tackley and Kirtlington have been hit after what Southern Electric confirmed was a fault on its high voltage network at about 7.25am.
They had initially predicted a wait of three hours for power to be restored but the majority of houses had power within the hour.
