Three men including a former Swindon Town footballer are set to stand trial today accused of swindling elderly Oxfordshire residents.
Ex-defender Phil King is jointly charged with tradesmen Trevor Bateman and David Merriman.
The trio have denied a total of 36 offences between them, relating to building work allegedly carried out at 10 Oxfordshire homes and two in West Berkshire.
A four-week trial is scheduled to start at Oxford Crown Court today.
