A 20-year-old man remains in a critical but stable condition following a crash which closed the M40’s southbound carriageway between junctions 8A and 9.
The man was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford after a Volkswagen Polo, Audi and a van collided just after 3am on Sunday, November 13 close to junction 8A.
The man was a passenger in the Polo.
Its driver, a 21-year-old man, has now been discharged from hospital.
A further seven people were treated at the scene but were not taken to hospital.
