I AM writing to appeal to your readers to support for the first time a nationwide festive fundraising initiative taking place in all Homebase stores in December in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.
Last year, Homebase employees selected Teenage Cancer Trust as their official charity partner until February 2013.
As Teenage Cancer Trust does not receive any government funding, this partnership is a wonderful opportunity to raise money for young people with cancer across the country.
In just one year Homebase employees in the UK and Ireland have raised a staggering £1m to help us build more specialist home-from-home Teenage Cancer Trust units in NHS hospitals.
Next month Teenage Cancer Trust has been given the chance to bucket collect in every Homebase store on Saturday December 10 and Sunday December 11. We are asking volunteers to collect and man our ‘wishes stands’ in-store.
