PARENTS and their children treated by a specialist maternity ward in Oxford returned on Saturday to give something back.
Thankful mums and dads attended John Radcliffe Hospital’s Silver Star Unit’s annual Christmas fundraising party and fayre at Tingewick Hall at the hospital.
The unit looks after women with maternal medical conditions before and after birth.
Jane Cluff, 37, of South Avenue in Abingdon, had her twins Amelia and Hollie there in January.
She said: “It is really good to see everyone again and it’s nice to help fundraise for other Silver Star babies.”
Jean Saunders, 31, from Celandine Place in Greater Leys, was at the unit with her six-day old baby Olivia Moir and pledged to return again in future years.
She said: “Silver Star is fantastic. They were really supportive.”
Seven-year-old Hebe Robertson’s mum Sophie added: “We couldn’t have done it without them.”
