A SECOND man appeared before Oxford Magistrates’ Court charged with murdering Denis Witney yesterday.
Wayne Cattell, 36, of no fixed abode, was remanded in custody by magistrates during the short hearing as he stood accused of murdering Mr Witney eight days ago.
Mr Witney, 39, was found by police injured and dying in St Clement’s Street, Oxford, just before 9pm and died later at John Radcliffe Hospital.
The cause of his death is not yet known.
Cattell will now appear at Oxford Crown Court tomorrow.
Daniel McCollin, 29, of Blay Close in Blackbird Leys, has also been accused of murdering Mr Witney. He will next appear in court in February.
