The full route of the Olympic torch relay will be revealed on Monday, the Culture Secretary said yesterday.
Jeremy Hunt told MPs the torch arrives in Britain on May 18 next year, ahead of the 2012 London Games.
The torch is due to pass through Oxford on its route to the capital.
Mr Hunt said: “It will be travelling for 70 days, going through 1,000 communities.
“Unfortunately it will not go through every constituency, but 99 per cent of the population will be within 20 miles of the torch route.”
Officials revealed the first 74 locations of the relay six months ago.
