THE Lewis Oxford pub crawl continued yesterday as the cast and crew filmed on location at another city boozer.

Just weeks after they shot scenes at the Head of the River pub on Folly Bridge, the camera crews were propping up the bar again, this time at The Punter in South Street, Osney Island.

Actor Laurence Fox, DS James Hathaway in the ITV drama, told the Oxford Mail the six day a week shooting schedule for the new series meant he was ready for a well-earned pint.

“I used to have a pint in each pub we filmed in, but not any more what with health and safety,” he joked.

“But I’ll be having one tonight. We’ve been here before for dinner when it was one of the crew’s birthday.”

Also on set were writer Colin Dexter and producer Chris Burt.

Mr Burt said: “I’ve done 17 episodes of Morse, 24 of Lewis and I studied in Oxford, so you could say I know the place quite well.”
