IT may have taken more than five hours of queueing but for fans of rapper Professor Green the wait was well worth it.
The acclaimed artist was met with screams of delight from fans at HMV in Oxford’s Cornmarket Street as he signed copies of his new album At Your Inconvenience last night.
He came to the city ahead of his sold-out gig at the O2 Academy in Cowley Road last night.
Friends Vicky Wastie, 21, of Witney, and Marie Burborough, 23, of Carterton, were at the front of the queue.
Miss Wastie said: “I love him, I’m still shaking. I have been Tweeting about this all day.”
Miss Burborough added: “He is gorgeous. I love him.”
Mother and daughter Becky, 37, and Brittany Liquorish, 15, drove all the way from Birmingham and spent £25 in parking fees to meet the Prof.
Becky Liquorish said: “He is what I would call a realist and is living proof you can make something of yourself no matter where you come from.”
Professor Green, real name Stephen Paul Manderson, 27, spent 45 minutes in the shop before his minders ushered him away.
