People convicted of offences at magistrates courts in the county recently:

Robert Appleby, 20, of Chowns Close, Thame, admitted shoplifting alcohol valued at £11.99 from BP in Thame on September 11. Five other offences taken into consideration. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £71.94 compensation and £85 costs.

Morton Morton, 20, of Stowford Road, Oxford, admitted possessing amphetamines and cannabis (both Class B) in Oxford on June 17. Fined £100 and a £15 victims’ surcharge, deemed paid by time already spent in custody.

Rachel Reed, 29, of Knights Road, Oxford, admitted possessing heroin (Class A) in Oxford on February 1 and failing to attend a follow-up drug assessment on July 8. Fined £100 with £15 victims’ surcharge.

Benedict Robinson, 19, of Bullingdon Road, Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis (Class B) in Oxford on August 24. Fined £45 and £15 victims’ surcharge.

Connor Slamon, 44, of Speedwell Street, Oxford, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Oxford on September 27. Fined £60 and a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Nabeel Khan, 24, of Ashurst Way, Oxford, admitted driving without due care and attention in Cowley Road, Oxford, on March 4. Fined £250, with £15 surcharge, £300 costs and four penalty points.

Brad Ayres, 19, of Godstow Road, Wolvercote, admitted stealing lead belonging to Punch Taverns and going equipped for theft in Oxford on September 26. Twelve-month conditional discharge with £1,000 compensation and £85 costs.

Abigail Horne, 20, of Brighthampton Court, Brighthampton, Witney, admitted shoplifting four Yankee Candles valued at £73.96 from Milletts Garden Centre, Abingdon, on September 26. Twelve-month conditional discharge with £85 costs.

Ashley Day, 26, of Caernarvon Way, Banbury, convicted of two counts of assault in Banbury on April 21. Told to join a ‘control of violence for angry impulsive drinkers course’ for 24 days, do 150 hours’ unpaid work and be supervised for 12 months. Told to pay £299 compensation and £600 costs.

Keiron Bennett, 24, of Windrush Valley Road, Witney, admitted driving without due care and attention in Witney High Street on June 25. Fined £100, a £15 surcharge and £45 costs, with six penalty points.
