Six men stopped a 20-year-old cyclist, broke his nose and robbed him of his wallet, a satchel and his bike.
The victim, from Iffley, was riding along the Meadow Lane footpath, towards Donnington Bridge at 10.20pm on Friday, October 21.
At the path leading to Chester Street he was blocked by about six men who used their cycles to create a barricade, attacking him, grabbing his bag of college notes and snatching his silver B-Twin racing bike.
Det Con Tom Mansfield said: “This was clearly a very nasty incident. Not only did the victim lose a lot of property but he also suffered a broken nose and needed hospital treatment.”
