THE Co-operative shop in Kidlington High Street held a fun day on Saturday to raise funds for Women’s Aid, a national charity which works to end domestic violence.
The day featured a bouncy castle and a raffle and was just one of a number of events taking place across the Midcounties area.
Assistant store manager Glenn Ackers said: “We would like to thank everyone who supported us. We raised £324 for the cause and the children enjoyed the bouncy castle.
“Our colleague Maureen Thomson, a Customer Service Assistant, did a fantastic job in selling just over 100 raffle tickets.”
So far £25,455 has been raised by The Midcounties Co-operative.
Women’s Aid chief executive Nicola Harwin said: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone at The Midcounties Co-operative who have supported us this weekend and thank everyone who has donated.”
