TARMAC to replace cobbles in Merton Street is an act of vandalism but the university is very rich, so why can’t it pay?
Some years ago the grass area either side of Tom Tower was cobbled.
Very costly as the stones came from Malta, or some other place abroad.
Part of my drive is cobbled. Five pounds a bag from a local garden centre. Easy isn’t it?
