Faringdon Teenager Truly Ford is to compete in the regional finals of the Open Mic UK competition.
The 17-year-old singer, of Faringdon Community College, recovered from meningitis to impress in the auditions last month.
She will compete against about 20 others in the 17-to-22 age group in front of a live audience at the NEC in Birmingham on October 29.
