The public inquiry into controversial plans for a road to relieve traffic pressure in Witney town centre has been postponed.

A planning inspector was expected to hear the case for a link road through Cogges, as well as opposition to the scheme from campaigners.

However, the hearing was postponed this morning after too many people turned up at Enysham Hall for the inquiry.

It will now be held at the Methodist Hall, in High Street, Witney, at 10am on Thursday.
