Around 1,800 swimmers took part in the British Heart Foundation's Pier to Pier swim on Sunday. This is the 20th year the event has taken place and is a popular event in the BHF's event calendar.

The event is a 1.4 mile swim between Bournemouth to Boscombe Piers. Two swims took place, one at 10am and the other at midday.

Emma Barnes age 10 was the youngest person to enter and finish. She swam the 1.4miles with her dad Ian taking 55 minutes.
