This is the man detectives want to quiz after a 23-year-old woman was subjected to a horrifying rape ordeal by two men in Oxford.

The woman was repeatedly attacked at an address in Church Cowley Road on March 16.

Officers today named Iranian national Haren Krsvow-Nore, 22, whose last known address was in the Foresters Tower flats in Wood Farm Road, Wood Farm, as a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

Detectives said last night they believed he could still be in the Oxford area.

Last Tuesday at Oxford Crown Court, 17-year-old Salman Ahmed was sentenced to five years and three months in a young offenders’ institution after admitting two counts of rape, but his accomplice remains at large.

Det Insp Simon Morton last night appealed for the public’s help.

He said: “While we have already convicted one man for the rape, it is of utmost importance that we track down Krsvow-Nore to speak to him about his alleged involvement in this horrible crime.

“We believe that he may still be in the Oxford area and I would urge anyone has seen him or knows of his whereabouts to come forward and speak to us immediately.

“While the nature of the offence that he is being sought in connection with is a serious one, we do not believe he poses a risk to the wider public.

“However, the sooner we find him the better.”

Sentencing Ahmed on September 13 Judge Anthony King said: “These were grave offences.

“When you had no reason to believe that this young woman would consent to any form of sexual contact, you and a man with you took hold of her, detained her and while you lay upon her the other man then raped her.

“Throughout she protested and sought to escape. Once that first man had raped her with your help you then separately raped her while he held her down.

“That was not enough for you. Both of you then raped her again, each of you assisting the other to do so.

“You were clearly laughing as you were enjoying the humiliation, the pain and the harm you were inflicting upon her.”

He added: “I find that there was an element of pre-planning between you and the other man who has not yet been brought to justice.”
