HUNDREDS have gathered along Oxfordshire's repatriation route to pay their respects to a fallen hero.
Royal Marine Sergeant Barry Weston was killed on August 30 by a roadside bomb in Helmand Province.
His extended family have arrived at the memorial garden on the edge of Carterton, where the flag is at half mast.
The plane carrying Sgt Weston's body landed at RAF Brize Norton earlier this afternoon.
It is the first repatriation to Oxfordshire base since the duty was returned to the air base.
The cortege is expected to leave the air base by the Britannia Gate at around 5pm.
It will arrive in Headley Way, Oxford, 40 minutes later.
