AFTER a successful campaign by parents, staff and interested parties from November 2010 to May 2011, and with the excellent support of the media, Culham Parochial Church of England Primary School officially opened for business from Tuesday, September 6.
We embraced this new beginning with a Vision Evening last night, where we as a community planned ta new mission statement for the future of the school.
This, we hope, will facilitate a growing school roll and inspire continuing support from Oxfordshire County Council.
It is unfortunate that the consultation for closure may have had a detrimental effect on the reputation of our school, which has consistently performed well in Ofsted inspections and obtained an excellent report from the Schools Improvement Board.
We hope parents in the Abingdon area will look at us as an excellent and viable alternative to other schools in the area.
Once more, we are grateful to you for your support of our campaign, and hope you will follow our progress into the future.
