On Tuesday afternoon I heard a traffic bulletin that the A34 near Hinksey was down to one lane due to a jack-knifed caravan, causing long delays.
Almost every day the traffic news mentions an overturned or jackknifed caravan somewhere, with big delays.
Why do people tow these tin shacks about?
All round the country there are parks with caravans to rent, so just pack a suitcase and use one of them.
Time to have a £1,000 fine if your tin shack causes a traffic problem, and the road tax should be far greater anyway.
