YOUNGSTERS have spent the week learning some top dance techniques.
And yesterday, at Oxford Town Hall in St Aldate’s, the seven- to 14-year-olds performed the moves for their parents.
Seven-year-old Joe Kirkham said: “I enjoyed it but it was a little bit tiring. My legs are aching a little today.”
He added: “I liked the hip hop dancing because it was a cool dance, but the tap dancing was a bit tricky.”
His father, John, 37, of Park Road in Abingdon, said: “We thought it would be something really different for him to do.
“He really enjoyed every single day of it.”
Organiser Kate Ballard, assistant director of dance company Sole Rebel Tap, said: “It has been great.
“The kids have been really enthusiastic and it has been really good working with them.”
She said the lessons had been organised to give the youngsters something creative to do during their summer holidays.
