BEER brewed from a Rose Hill allotment will be served up as people are invited to take a look at a unique sculpture of crops.
Artists Leora Brook and Tiffany Black researched the story of Modern Art Oxford which moved into the old brewery building in Pembroke Street in 1966.
The pair, who have been artists in residence at allotment 16 for the past 18 months, were inspired by the building’s history and have recreated an image of it using the crops.
Visitors are invited to view the leafy Lenthall Road allotment sculpture, meet the artists and sample beer brewed from the hops tomorrow, between 6pm and 8pm. Tickets cost £3 and include a bottle of plot-16 beer.
Ms Black said: “People have loved it at the allotments in Rose Hill and the allotment holders think that it’s great.
Hopefully people will come along and enjoy it because it’s fun and artists making a sculpture in the land is a very exciting idea.”
There will also be poetry and live music.
