TWO men have been charged with robbery after an 18-year-old woman had her handbag and mobile phone stolen.
Lewis Jack Heaver, of Hornbeam Drive, Greater Leys, was charged with one count of robbery, possession of an a knife, and a public order offence.
Michael Stuart Aspinall, 20, of Silkdale Close, Temple Cowley, has been charged with robbery.
The charges relate to a robbery in Cowley Road at midday on Wednesday. Heaver, 18, faces a further charge of using racially threatening language in connection with another incident in Cricket Road on Tuesday.
Heaver appeared in Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, where he was remanded in custody to appear before Oxford Crown Court on Thursday, August 25.
Aspinall was charged yesterday and remanded in custody to appear before Oxford Magistrates’ Court today.
