THERE is ultimately only one reason people fundraise. It is to make a difference. Whatever they are trying to achieve, fundraisers want to ensure that there is an improvement.
That is why the Oxford Laryngectomy Club members are right to be furious that equipment they fundraised for is gathering dust at the Oxford Cancer Centre.
They can legitimately ask today: What was the point?
