It is easy for David Cameron to condemn looters as criminals. So indeed they are. It is easy for some others to blame the parents.
In some cases that may be true. However, our political masters would be well advised to look closer to home before seeking to apportion blame.
We have seen politicians fiddling their expenses. We have seen bankers gambling on the markets with customers’ money.
It has even been alleged that some police officers have formed a corrupt relationship with tabloid journalists.
Faced with such a dreadful example set by the supposed elite of society, is it any wonder that some of our young people have grown up believing it is acceptable to help themselves to anything they fancy?
