I am having a real struggle to understand the complexities afforded to tradesmen by Oxfordshire County Council (Parking battle for tradesmen, Oxford Mail, August 16).
Why must a tradesman be forced to use the park and ride in order to come into Oxford to work due to parking permit restrictions?
I, as a tradesman, would not want to be lugging my tool boxes on to a park and ride bus from the back of my van at Pear Tree and, in fact, would decline the job if I had to do so.
Wake up, county council!
What next? Park the truck at Thornhill and load the scaffolding on the bus?
