CHILDREN leaving Oxford’s Kids Unlimited nursery this summer enjoyed a special graduation ceremony, attended by Deputy Lord Mayor Alan Armitage.
Three-year-old Magnus Aldridge, from Uffington, who has been going to the nursery at Oxford Business Park in Cowley since he was six months old, is pictured receiving a leaving certificate from Mr Armitage.
Mum Catherine Aldridge said: “He loves going to the nursery. He’s made lots of good friends and loves the staff as well.”
While Magnus is moving on to the pre-school in his home village, most of the 20 children taking part in the ceremony will start primary school next month. Nursery manager Liz West said: “It’s the first time we have done something like this.
“Normally we have a small party but we went a little mad this year. It went well and we plan to do this every year in future. The children absolutely loved it —they had been preparing for three weeks.”
