WROXTON: A six-year-old was given the honour of unveiling a hotel’s new £200,000 function room.
Hannah McGregor, from Wroxton Primary School, helped Banbury town mayor Alastair Milne-Home cut the ribbon to declare Wroxton House Hotel’s Broughton Room open.
Hannah won a prize to draw a picture of a wedding at the hotel and also bagged £150 for the school.
Owners Gill and John Smith said: “We have already hosted a number of successful meetings and the room is proving very popular with local brides. We are delighted that so many local people came out to help us celebrate the launch of the room and want to thank Hannah for her lovely picture.”
The newly expanded Broughton Room can now accommodate up to 100 people and has access to a private terrace and garden.
