STARS of the future lined up to impress the Chippy’s Got Talent judges in a packed contest.
The fledgling event was a huge success with 17 would-be stars queuing up to take to the stage at Chipping Norton Football Club.
St Mary’s Primary School pupil Izzy Evans, 10, came third after performing Adele’s Someone Like You.
Proud dad Jason Evans, from Chipping Norton, said: “I thought it was a fantastic event, considering it was the first time they’ve done it.
“It was very busy, I’d say it was a success.
“Izzy came third and we were very happy with that.”
Organiser Jason Shurmer, of Chipping Norton, said: “We had singers, a couple of people playing the guitar, someone on the saxophone and a comedian.
“Mostly the acts were aged between 10 and 13, but there were some adults too.
“We were trying to raise awareness for the football club and do something different to get people up there and make it part of the community.
“It’s really child-friendly.
“There must have been about 15 to 20 people helping me with the posters and getting it set up.”
