IN REPLY to Susan Smith (Oxford Mail letters, July 29) it is a sad reflection when some people misconstrue the obvious delights of thousands. I accompanied my daughters and grandchildren to the Blenheim Palace Game Fair. We saw neither violence, cruelty or abuse of any kind.
Ms Smith must agree that we human beings are far more cruel to our fellow men.
Television brings directly into our homes gun violence and the mournful faces of thousands who are starving. So why does the Game Fair, featuring bucolic pastimes and pursuits, force people to put pen to paper to descry a complete and pleasant day out?
