SAMANTHA Millard survived an extreme allergic reaction to a swine flu drug.

Now she wants as many people as possible to join her party and help raise money for the hospital that saved her life.

Miss Millard, 20, has been left partially-sighted after she had a severe allergic reaction to swine flu drug Tamiflu in December 2009. Eighteen months later, her health is improving slowly.

Now she and her family, sister Charley Dale and mother Debbie Van Horenbeeck are hosting a party next Friday, at the Ex-Services Club, Sheep Street, Bicester, to raise cash to thank the burns unit and ICU at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London, for saving her life.

Miss Millard, right, of Purslane Drive, Bicester, said: “They also helped my mum and sister Charley and all my family to get a place to stay in London so they could be close to me.

For the past few weeks the family have had a stall in Sheep Street during the Friday market and donned Abba costumes in a bid to sell more tickets and raise cash for the hospital charity.

Tickets are available on the door, at Coles Bookstore, in Crown Walk, at the Ex-Services Club or by calling 01869 328996.
