I APOLOGISE to Mrs Jean Fooks for assuming she was still in charge of the waste recycling in Oxford city.
She is certainly right in believing those citizens who are not well off (on benefit for example) should not be taxed further for removal of their garden waste.
What I really want to know is why change a perfectly good scheme — green/yellow reusable sacks — at all?
We citizens paid in our taxes for the sacks, now we must pay for an extra wheelie bin or brown paper bags, or petrol to drive to Redbridge. Who is being paid to supply all this stuff Mr Tanner?
