TV PERSONALITIES Terry Wogan and Caroline Quentin, above, visited a Wallingford antiques market yesterday while filming for a television show.

The pair were filming BBC’s Celebrity Antiques Road Trip which is to be aired later in the year.

The antiques they bought at the Lamb Arcade under expert guidance will be auctioned later and profits will go to Children in Need.

Owner of Alicia Antiques Alicia Collins sold presenter Sir Terry a hand-painted 19th century Chinese vase.

She said: “He was very charming and very funny. It was a very interesting day.”

Antiques dealer Pat Hayward sold Ms Quentin a music stand.

She said: “She was great. She is a character and she obviously loves antiques. We had a lot of laughs.”

She added: “They bought porcelain and art deco stuff, whatever they thought could make a bit of profit.

“It was great fun. We all had a lot of fun and everybody enjoyed themselves.”
