YOUNGSTERS from all over the world have taken part in street performances in Oxford.
They performed extracts from the play Government Inspector in Bonn Square and Oxford Castle.
It was part of Pegasus Theatre’s International Youth Arts Festival, which has been running since Wednesday, July 20.
Young people from Russia, Holland, Germany and Gaza took part.
Pegasus Theatre’s Gill Jaggers said: “It was a fantastic event and the young people really enjoyed themselves.
“It was another discipline for them to get involved in, doing street performance, and it was a way of celebrating what they have done.”
The youngsters have spent the last week working together and learning about each other’s cultures. The festival culminated yesterday with a performance at Oxford Town Hall.
Organisers will hold the event biannually, but they will have a special festival next year to celebrate the London Olympics.
