Oxfordshire’s ambulance service has the second best emergency response times in the county.
South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) covers the counties of Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire and handles about 500,000 emergency calls a year.
According to the latest Government data for June, 78 per cent of the trust’s 8,496 calls were responded to within eight minutes.
The Government requires 75 per cent of calls to be met within that time frame.
Only the North East Ambulance Service NHS Trust had better figures, with 78.4 per cent of 10,054 emergency calls met within eight minutes.
