A DEVELOPER has lost an appeal over a bid to build two homes at land off Shrivenham Road in Longcot, Faringdon.
Vale of White Horse District Council threw out the plan in June last year and this has now been upheld on appeal by the applicant by The Planning Inspectorate.
The Inspectorate said the plan, for an overgrown site to the back of homes in a cul-de-sac, would “have an adverse effect on the character of the countryside and village”.
It comes after an appeal over a one-home plan for the site failed in 2007.
