WHAT a tragic and unspeakably ignominious end to that once merely rubbish Sunday publication The News of The World, founded some time before the invention of even the most primitive telephone – unless Ralph Leavis knows otherwise.
Still, millions of morons up and down the land can doubtless look forward to the appearance of The World of the News on the shelves in the not-too-distant future, likewise, apart from anything else, cocking a snook at the Trade Descriptions Act.
