Wantage Town Football Club can now go ahead with plans to build a £650,000 all-weather pitch.
The club was given permission for the scheme at a meeting of Vale of White Horse District Council on Wednesday.
The full-size floodlit pitch will replace one of the club’s grass pitches on the former St Mary’s School fields off Manor Road.
The project will include creating 50 new parking spaces by Wantage Leisure Centre.
It hopes to have the synthetic pitch, which will also be used by King Alfred’s Specialist Sports College, built for September next year.
